I discovered today why there are no dead animals on the road here where we live. They get as much rights to cars stopping as do school buses. I'm not joking. There was a line of cars about 10 stopped; I thought oh no an accident
. Then I noticed people exiting from their cars; so naturally I to exited. They were watching a "herd" of turtles
( 2 or more is a herd), so I've been told. The turtles were in a line crossing the road. You would have thought someone would pick them up and help them; but oh no,
must not mess with "mother nature"; well what about my nature, you know the one that needs to be somewhere at a certain time; HELLOOOOOOOOOOO people are you living in the "backwoods";
oops that would be a yes. Time to take a chill pill and enjoy the parade
. The dogs are getting so funny with their little personalities; Bolt for instance has now gotten good enough that he does not need to wear a "shock collar" any more. He is however clearly attached to Dale. When Dale is outside plowing and I take them out, he will run around in "crazy eights" patterns, then he goes over to Dale looks at me when I call him like "Uh Mom, I'm helping Dad, someone needs to keep an eye out for the stray dirt clots"
. I promise you he is so like a child it is sooooo funny to watch him. Then if he thinks your not looking he will quietly sneak off; when you catch him, he gives you this "I was just making sure that there were no other critters in the area"
type look. And I'm thinking your either looking for another dead animal to roll in; or fresh cow "muffins". I got your number buddy!
As for Rusty he is my ever faithful side companion;
but when he runs he looks like a big "ole" lamb. He frolics and pounces where ever he goes. Puzzle's likes to bounce, she is so small we can't see her. When you call her it is like watching a rabbit come hopping through the grass.
She kind of just pops up here and there, and all the while the grass is bending one way or another. Jack our oldest and wisest one likes to watch all of them. He lies on the porch and I'm sure he thinks he has the best part; the part that says if I look sad Mom and Dad will come sit by me;
then who has all the attention? Works every time. I have more to tell and will write again when I get back from convention; no not the "country convention". I am going to a MonaVie convention with some girlfriends who have graciously offered to pick me up on the way up.
